Christmas Party - 13th December 2003
Those of you who were at the Christmas party last year will not want to miss it this year. Keep the date free and we promise, you will be happy that you marked the day early in your calendar.
Thanksgiving - 29th November 2003
We will be at MIT to celebrate the Thanksgiving together with Sri Lankan college students on 29th November 2003.
Table Tennis Tournament -Cancelled
Due to unavoidable circumstances we are not in a position to conduct the Table Tennis tournament this year. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. But we will make sure that the tournament will be continued next year.
Mini-Olympics 15th June 2003
Though we had to switch the date to 15th June because of the rain, a lot of people around New England had the opportunity to show their colors at the mini Olympics. Start training for the next year ASAP. It is going to be tough in 2004.
Vesak/Poson Celebrations - 12th July 2003
We had a full day of celebrations at Laotian temple in Rhode Island. People who were present at the temple were able to enjoy a drama based on a few Jathaka Stories. As usual our Bakthi gee team performed for the benefit of the crowd present. Large number of people participated in offering dana to Maha Sanga.
Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2003 - April 26, 2003
This year we managed to obtain the Winchester City hall to host the Sinhala and Tamil New Year function. Everybody was in for a treat with String hopper dinner, a cultural show and usual new year sweets including Kalu dodol and kokis.
Discover Sri Lanka -February 8, 2003
The annual Discover Sri Lanka program was held at Lincoln School, Providence ,Rhode Island. The theme of this year's event which included a the Do you know contest, an art exhibition and a cultural show. We are proud to announce that the arts displayed at the exhibition was a randomly selected collection from the huge number of arts we received for the Arts Competition. Christmas Party 2002
We had a fun filled evening with a live band playing the tunes of old Sri Lankan goodies. If not for sound restrictions we would have danced till next day morning. We are glad to let you know that we were able to collect considerable amount of funds for the charities we are supporting.
