Thanksgiving - 30th November 2002
We had an excellent dinner dance at MIT, where we got together with Sri Lankan college students to celebrate the Thanksgiving. Special thanks to Mr Saliya De Silva and Gayani Thilakarathne for excellent arrangements and the help.

Vesak Celebrations - May 2002
We had a full day of celebrations at Laotian temple in RhodeIsland. Events included a session of "Bakthi Gee" and a drama based on "Seriwanija" Jathaka Kathawa. The chief incumbent of New York Buddhist vihara Ven Kurunegoda Piyatissa led the Damma events.

Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2002 - April 13, 2002
A program of culture, drama, music and comedy was followed by a traditional Sri Lankan buffet dinner. We are happy to announce that we could bring over 50 participants to the stage to show their talents & abilities to the world. Look for the Photo Album of this event soon.

Table Tennis Tournament - February 23, 2002
A full day's program of table tennis with participation in men's, women's singles, doubles, mixed doubles had a very good attendance. Carom was also introduced to our indoor games for the first time this year.

A full program of cultural and educational activities for our children. They eagerly participated in a general knowledge quiz and exhibition on Sri Lanka.
